Dear [Tina|Emma|Ms Skul],
Thank you [about|for|from]your letter. I was [sad|angry|glad]to receive your letter.
Going to Russia for Christmas is a wonderful idea. You can choose any city, and you [will|won't|don't]regret it. You can go to the Republic of Karelia. It is covered with snow, and it's so beautiful. There you can go skiing and snowboarding. [In addition|As a friend|Further],I would recommend taking as many warm clothes as you can put on at once because you can never predict the weather.
I hope you will have a good time at the party. [Have|Do|Did]you already decided what to put on? [Where|What|Why]jacket do you want to buy? Do you want to buy a new jacket or do you want to go shopping at a thrift shop?
Well, I have to go now. My parents and I [go|went|are going]to the theatre tonight. I [am looking forward|can't wait|don't care about]to receive your next email.
[To start|Best wishes|Naturally],
Kate
