Strategies and useful tips
Read the statements very carefully and point out the keywords to help you focus on what to listen for.
The questions follow the order of the information in the recording.
Do not confuse false and not stated. Be particularly careful with Not stated answers—information about this is just not in the text.
Remember that answers should be based on information in the text, not what you personally think or know.
If any of the statements are connected with feelings/opinions, think about how these might be expressed.
Be careful with negatives in the statements.
Listen and begin answering. Don't expect to be able to answer everything during the first listen. Finish answering when listening for the second time.

Olga: Hi, Max!
Max: Hi, Olga. How is it going?
Olga: Everything is fine. But I am exhausted. I can't wait for the moment our holiday starts.
Max: Oh! Me too! This year is extremely busy. I am on the verge of giving up. I hope the holiday will help me to restore energy. By the way, have you decided what to do?
Olga: Not completely. I know for sure that I'll dedicate the first week to rest. I want to sleep enough and meet more with my friends out of school. What about you?
Max: Well... My parents insist on spending some quality time! They want me to take up some extra classes for one week!
Olga: Are they kidding? You've been working so hard this term! You definitely deserve some rest!
Max: Yeah, I know it too. But parents will be parents! But in fact, I partly agree with them. I still have some problems with Math, so I have to revise some material anyway. Why not do it with the help of a tutor?
Olga: But not during our deserved time to relax! My parents also wanted me to attend a couple of extra classes but I refused.
Max: I'm still thinking about it. So, maybe we will reach a compromise, and I will rest for one week and the second one will be to study.
Olga: Who knows... Perhaps, it'll work out!
Max: If you had a one-month holiday, what would you do?
Olga: In this case, I would divide my time and also do something useful. Maybe not additional studying but at least I'll dedicate some time to my hobby. It helps me to relax.
Max: What hobby are you talking about! You have many as I remember (laughing)....
Olga: Of course, I'm not talking about going to the gym. It helps me to keep fit but it isn't about rest. I'm talking about photography. It would be great to watch some videos on how to work with photo correction.
Max: Sounds nice! Haven't you thought about visiting photography courses?
Olga: Sure, I have. But as we've discussed, this year is so busy that I don't have any time for anything except classes and homework.
Max: I see! Isn't a holiday a perfect time to come back to this hobby?
Olga: I see your point. Maybe I need to give it a try.
Max: And one day become a famous photographer!
Olga: Oh! You're making me blush! But thanks a lot for cheering me up!
Max: You are welcome! Oh, it's time to go... See you tomorrow?
Olga: Yes, sure! See you!
