Fill in the gaps

We know that every sentence in English should contain a subject and a verb. But what can we do with impersonal sentences? We can use for them the so-called formal or preparatory "it". This "it" does not possess any lexical meaning. For example, "It is known that English is spoken in the USA" (Who knows it? Everyone). Or "It is expected that robots would replace humans" (Who expects this? General public and the scientists).
