Put the elements into the gaps in the rule

• exclamation marks
• greetings
• "sorry"
• "for example", "unfortunately"
• endings
• capital
• after the name

If you are about to write an email according to the Russian State Exam standards, remember simple punctuation rules.

1. All the sentences in the letter should have punctuation marks to show the logical end of each sentence: [ ], question marks, full stops.
2. Commas are always tricky in writing, so remember to put commas after:
   • formal [ ] ("dear Mary", "dear Mr Brown", etc.);
   • interjections ([ ], "bravo", "wow");
   • discourse markers ("moreover", [ ]);
   • formal [ ] ("best wishes", "best regards", etc.).
3. Make sure that the phrase after the greeting starts with a [ ] letter.
4. According to the standards of informal letter writing, there is no full stop [ ] at the end of the letter ("Best wishes, Sam").
