Put the parts of the sentences in the correct order
Semicolons
The most widespread use of a semicolon is to separate clauses which are parts of a compound sentence if there are no coordinating conjunctions such as "for", "and", "nor", "but", "or", "yet", "so".

Example: Woody did all the tests; Mary did not finish hers.

Secondly, a semicolon is used in simple sentences with plenty of commas to separate them into independent semantic groups.

Example: We entered the classroom; the students were chatting noisily; the lesson had begun.

A semicolon is used in compound sentences when all the parts of the sentence are closely connected with each other and have the same subject.

Example: Mr Johnson will not come here any more; he will not be invited; and you will not see him again.
