| Issues | Number of teenagers (%) |

| Loose contact with old friends | 55 |
| Get used to new teachers | 17 |
| Lack of support from parents | 8 |

Write 200–250 words.
Use the following plan:
- make an opening statement on the subject of the project work;
- select and report 2–3 main features;
- make 1–2 comparisons where relevant;
- outline a problem that can arise with teenage issues and suggest the way of solving it;
- draw a conclusion giving your personal opinion on the issues that worry teenagers most.
Fill in the gaps.
It is a [well-known|new|trendy] fact that adolescence is a period of special concern. [When|While|On] working on my project about issues that worry teenagers, who are moving from the remote place to the big cities, most, I [have|have been|has been] collected the results of the opinion polls [from|of|on] the subject. The data of my research are [written|spoken|presented] in the form of a table. I ['m going|am going|going] to cover the main features that are presented in it.
[As|How|While] it is seen in the table, most teenagers are worried about ways to get used to [new|modern|old] environment and at the same time to lose [touch|message|speech] with friends from their native place, sixty and fifty-five [commonly|usually|respectively]. It can also [seeing|be seen|see] that the problem of [looking|finding|monitoring] places to spend free time worries only a minority of teenagers.
As the table [suggests|improves|offers], teenagers might also be concerned about their lack of support and new teachers. [Despite|Although|However], these issues are only half as important to teenagers [so|as|how] old and new friends.
[To|In|For] my opinion, the above-mentioned trend might [cause|reason|effect] a significant problem. Moving to a new place is definitely big stress to youngsters. [As a result|Because|Although], many adolescents might have problems socializing with new people. I am convinced that the best solution [on|about|to] this problem is to provide psychological support from parents and relatives.
[On the one hand|To begin with|In conclusion], I would like [emphasizing|to emphasize|emphasize] that adolescence is a very challenging life stage. Therefore, we need to [pay|make|offer] attention to teenagers' concerns to help them go [along|across|through] this stage successfully.

\(\boxed{40.2}\)
Imagine that you are doing a project on what activities teenagers like most in the city. You have collected some data on the subject—the results of the opinion polls (see the diagram below).
Comment on the data in the diagram and give your personal opinion on the subject of the project.
Write 200–250 words.
Use the following plan:
- make an opening statement on the subject of the project work;
- select and report 2–3 main features;
- make 1–2 comparisons where relevant;
- outline a problem that can arise with reading and suggest the way of solving it;
- draw a conclusion giving your personal opinion on the importance of free time activities in teenagers' lives.
Now read the sample piece of writing below and choose the correct options to complete the text.
Free-time activities are an important [piece|bit|part] of our life. [As|While|During] working on my project about activities that Russian teenagers love most, I [have|have been|am] collected the results of the opinion polls [for|to|on] the subject. The data of the poll are [gifted|performed|presented] in the form of a diagram. I ['m going|am going|going] to outline the main features the diagram reflects and [divide|compare|confront] the data.
[As|How|While] it is presented by the diagram, a very large proportion of [adolescents|people|children] prefer visiting shopping malls with their friends and walking in the park, eighty-four and seventy-seven percent [commonly|usually|respectively]. It can also [seeing|be seen|see] that visiting museums is [interest|interested|interesting] only to a small minority of teenagers.
As the diagram [suggests|improves|offers], teenagers are also fond [of|in|at] going to the cinemas and going to sports sections. [Despite|Although|However], these issues are not as important to teenagers [so|as|how] other social activities.
[To|In|For] my opinion, the above-mentioned trend might [cause|reason|effect] a significant problem. Spending time uselessly [give|gives|giving] teenagers a greater sense of pleasure [as|how|than] sports activities. [As a result|Because|Although], many adolescents tend to spend their time uselessly without gaining new skills. I am convinced that the best solution [on|about|to] this problem is to help teenagers join sports programm and to show them that it can be a big advantage.
[On the one hand|To begin with|In conclusion], I would like [emphasizing|to emphasize|emphasize] that we can only make teenagers [do|doing|to do] something if they see it as an interesting activity. [Personally|Despite|Therefore], if we want teenagers to indulge in certain activities, we have to show its [price|value|cost] first.
