A.This holiday is celebrated by almost all the citizens of the country. If you are planning to visit Russia during the end of the year, you must visit Red Square in Moscow to see the amazing fireworks that happen at night on December 31st. During this time, you will feel the festive mood in every inch of the city with parties, feasts and open-air festivals in various parks where you can sing and dance.

B.This festival is also called the pancake festival: for the whole week, there are pancakes everywhere. Basically, this festival celebrates the farewell of winter and the start of spring. If you visit Russia during this time, you will see carnival-like celebrations going on everywhere. You will certainly be able to eat a lot of fresh delicious pancakes and also witness the burning session of a straw figure which is called 'Lady Maslenitsa'.

C.To observe this winter celebration, you have to reach the remote areas of Russia where Nenetes of Yamal live. It's the Reindeer Herder's Festival, which is held annually to save the unique job of herding the reindeer by attracting much tourist attention to the area. During the festival, you can enjoy many different races and also ski with the help of the reindeer. You can join the small activities going on to cheer up people as well. Finally, you will also find delicious snacks which are made from reindeer meat.

D.This festival bears the mark of tradition in Russia. The Russian Easter traditions are quite different to the rest of the world. During this time, the rituals related to Easter like painting eggs, cooking special meal kulichi, and visiting the church are maintained devotedly by the Russians. Although Easter is one of the most important of the Orthodox holidays, there are additional associations with the holiday. Easter is thought of as a spiritual cleanse for the soul, bringing peace, joy, and hope.

E.This is a patriotic festival which remembers the victory of the Soviet Union after a tremendous battle with Nazi Germany from 1941 to 1945. It is broadly celebrated by Russians, specifically by the military forces of Russia. This is the reason why you will see a lot of fireworks and military parades. Also, it's not a working day in the whole country: employees don't go to work, students don't go to schools and universities.

F.The time you will spend in Saint Petersburg should be between May and July because of this festival, which makes the holiday of every tourist a memorable one. For about a month, it doesn't get dark at night here, which is called "The White Nights". White Nights festival with its musical and theatre performances is celebrated to support music, art, and dance as a part of Russian culture.
