• Страдательный залог образуется через указанное время и третью форму глагола. Например:

Present Simple Passive: am/is/are + V3.

Past Simple Passive: was/were + V3.

Future Simple Passive: will be +V3.

• Страдательный залог в английском языке существует в тех же временах, что и действительный: Present Simple Passive, Past Perfect Passive и т. д.
• Мы используем страдательный залог, чтобы сделать акцент на действии, а не на его исполнителе. Сравним: The university will accept only brilliant students (active). Only brilliant students will be accepted to the university (passive). Университет примет только отличников. Только отличников примут в университет.
• Также мы используем эту форму, чтобы показать, что исполнитель неизвестен. The car was stolen. Машину угнали (неизвестно, кто это сделал).
• Иногда мы используем страдательный залог, чтобы сказать о чём-то неодушевлённом. The book will be read. Книгу прочитают (сама себя она читать не может).
