Put the parts of the story in the correct order

You want to write a short story for a teenage newspaper. The story must be entitled "A Strange Case" (120–180 words and four paragraphs). Use past tenses. Include:

  • the beginning (who/what/where/when);
  • narrative events in chronological order;
  • the climax event;
  • the description of how the characters acted in the end and how they felt.

A few months ago, I felt something was scratching my cheek. It was my wisdom tooth. I had to visit a dentist to do something about it because I could hardly close my mouth.But the thing was—I was afraid of dentists. It was excruciating for me to visit one. But my cheek and jaw were sore, and I had to obey the voice of reason. When I got into the dentist's chair, I almost fainted—that's how scared I was. I thought it would ache terribly, and I got ready for this. The doctor probably knew that I had been frightened. He said, "Let me just have a look at your tooth. I'm not doing anything." In a couple of minutes, he finished. I realised my tooth had been removed. It was absolutely painless.When I came home, I felt my face become swollen. It was painful to chew and open my mouth. I looked like a frog for about a week until I got my face back.
