\(\boxed{4}\) Imagine that you are doing a project "Visiting Exhibitions" together with your friend. You have found some illustrations, and you want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

  • give a brief description of the photos, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;
  • say in what way the pictures are different, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;
  • mention the advantages and disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of exhibitions;
  • express your opinion on the subject of the project—which of the two exhibitions you would prefer to visit and why.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12-15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Number the parts (1–9) of the voice message in the correct order according to the plan given above.

[ ] Well, that's all I wanted to tell you. Please, look at the photos and give me your opinion on them. Bye!

[ ] Of course, I understand that it is important to visit both science museums and art galleries. But to tell the truth, I would prefer to visit a science museum, as art portrays the past and reflects the present while science foresees the future.

[ ] Hello, Andrey. I'm calling to tell you about the photos I've found for our project on visiting exhibitions. I've just sent them to you.

[ ] There is a great contrast between the lively joyful expression on the girl's face and the serious mood of the two people in the art gallery.

[ ] Needless to say, both types of exhibitions are worth visiting. An undeniable advantage of a science museum is that the exhibits there are practical and thus are of greater interest to the general public. However, to admire some of the items, you have to be scientifically-minded, and science is not everyone's cup of tea, you know.

[ ] In the other photo, there are two people in an art gallery admiring the paintings. The photo looks plain, with the classic combination of white and black colours. I think these photos are perfect for our project, as they convey the futuristic atmosphere of a science museum and the restrained atmosphere of an art gallery.

[ ] It is quite natural, though, as the girl is allowed to touch the exhibit and play with it while the people in the art gallery cannot touch the paintings. So, the overall impression is that a science museum is a more exciting place to visit, at least for young people.

[ ] In one of the photos, you can see a teenage girl having fun at a museum of science. The photo is colourful, with beautiful shades of purple and bright flashing lights.

[ ] At the same time, art can be understood intuitively, as it appeals to our emotions, which is a certain advantage of an art exhibition. Yet, a lot of people find visiting art galleries boring as generally, one has to be very quiet and solemn there.
