Answers:

  1. Naturally, I know a lot of prominent Russian scientists in all areas of science. For example, Dmitry Mendeleev created the periodic table of elements. And Ivan Pavlov was an outstanding scientist who studied the physiology of digestion and reflexes.

  2. I'd really like scientists to find a cure for cancer and other terminal illnesses. It might save people from pain and suffering. I believe all people wish that could happen one day.

  3. As for me, I enjoy carrying out experiments in class. In my opinion, theory must necessarily be combined with practice. Besides, experiments are great fun.

  4. I'm convinced that the government should definitely invest in science. Science is what makes the state strong and powerful. No progress is possible without scientific achievements.

  5. There is no such subject as Science in Russian schools. We study biology, physics and chemistry separately. But I know students in Britain have Science classes.
