- give a brief description of the photos (2 features connected with the subject of the project in each photo minimum);
- say in what way the pictures are different (2 features connected with the subject of the project minimum);
- mention the advantages and disadvantages (1–2) of the two ways of travelling;
- explain how these photos illustrate the project "Travelling and Transport";
- express your opinion on the subject of the project—whether you would like to use one of the ways of travelling and why yes or no.
You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (2–3 sentences for every item of the plan, 12–15 sentences total).
You have to talk continuously.
Hi, Vika! Natalya is [there|here|now]. I'm calling to tell you about the photos I've found for our project on the ways of travelling. I've just [sent|send|sended]them to you via email.
The first photo [shows|writes|seems]a man using a bus to get somewhere, while the second picture depicts a young man with his girlfriend driving his car. [And|Both|But]pictures are suitable for our project, as they show people in similar circumstances but using two different means of travelling—public transport and a private car.
[Obviously|Continuously|Personally], the man in the first picture is feeling uncomfortable in a crowded bus while the couple in the second picture [are|is|isn't]enjoying privacy. Secondly, the man has to stand and wait for his stop in advance [after|while|before]people in the car feel free to stop where they want and whenever they want. So, the impression is [formed|framed|done]that the couple in the second picture feels more comfortable while travelling.
[Though|Naturally|Needlessly], both means of travelling shown in the pictures have their advantages and disadvantages. For example, going by bus is usually [more expensive|cheaper|worst]than travelling by car that needs to be repaired and filled with petrol all the time. [It seems to me|However|When], a private car gives you more freedom in moving which is very important to some people. [As for|As soon as|Apart]public transport, for example, a train or a metro, it has a certain schedule and a person can be sure he will be [in|on|at]time. Yet, cars might be more comfortable if the question of private space is important for a passenger which [by|in|on]turn public means of transport can't [supply|provide|improve].
As for me, I would [prefer|like|want]using public transport, because it makes our life more secure and allows us not to think about the troubles that can arise while using our car. [Experts say|Although|Besides], in my city there are many transport discounts for pupils and students which can make transport facilities cheaper.
[To start with|Well|Thirdly], that's all I wanted to tell you. Please, look at the photos and [take|answer|give]me your opinion on them. Bye!
