Read the text and choose the correct options
Shopping is a process no one can avoid in the modern world. If a person is in need of food, clothing, electronics or medicine, he has to do that. Some people consider such necessity to be a disaster, others, on the contrary, feel really enthusiastic about it. For many years the process of shopping was the same: you go to the shop, choose the goods you need, pay money and take the goods you've paid for. Now things have changed considerably. You don't need even to stand up from your sofa to get everything you need. Just make some clicks, and bingo! Online shopping makes everything for you. Go online, surf the item you need, compare the prices in different online shops, choose the best option and pay!
Today the shopping has become even more available than ever. Many people tend to buy a lot of goods they have no real need in. This problem is called overconsumption which leads to exhaustion of nature resources and environmental problems. To prevent such undesirable results, many people promote the idea of sustainable consumption. It means a person has to buy only necessary things and not stimulate more demand in production.
Sustainable consumption can also improve the environment around. The example of it can be seen in some European supermarkets. People buy food and other stuff and use textile bags instead of one-use plastic bags as a package. Over time, it will possibly help to reduce the plastic pollution.
Shopping is a very arguable issue between industry and nature defenders. Profit and clean environment today have very little in common. Business is constantly in search of the ways to stimulate sales. And nature defenders are trying to make the demand in goods smaller to keep the environment cleaner. The only way to solve such a difficult puzzle is to find the decision which would satisfy both sides. Unfortunately, the best alternative has not been found yet.
