In the Saratov region, a new federal protected area will be created: Dyakovsky Forest National Park. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the decree to establish this reserve.
The national park will cover over 18,500 hectares in the Krasnokutsky district, based on the regional natural monument Dyakovsky Forest. This forest is the only large woodland in the Transvolga steppes and is home to endangered species of animals and birds. Over 700 species of plants grow here, some of which are at risk of extinction.
This initiative is part of the federal project "Preservation of Biological Diversity and Development of Ecotourism", included in the Ecology national project. The park aims to protect wildlife, reduce soil pollution, and create natural trails **** for ecotourism.
