Dear Brian,
It was great to get your letter and learn how you prefer to spend your weekends. I was surprised to find out that you are a fan of baseball and often spend your weekend playing this game on a field. To tell the truth, I don't spend my weekends doing sports like you, but my weekends are also very busy.
I am lucky to live in Melbourne. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has a special atmosphere I like walking along its streets. Melbourne Star Observation Wheel is one of my favourite attractions. I come here to enjoy a bird's eye view of a city. It's really impressive.
Sometimes when I want to breathe some fresh air and be close to nature, I go to Royal Botanic Gardens. There are plenty of unusual plants, flowers and trees and all of them are different colours. It's a wonderful place where I feel peaceful and quiet. Sometimes, my friends, Josh and Harry join me and we have a really good time together.
One more activity I don't quite like but have to do is shopping. Every weekend my dad and I drive to the nearest supermarket to buy some food and other stuff we need for home. It's not very exciting but it's one of my duties. When we finish shopping, we have a tasty lunch in a local cafe. Then we go to the bowling centre and spend some time there. It's fun to play bowling with dad. He has taught me many tricks and now I'm playing almost as good as him.And how do you feel about bowling? Do you like playing it?
Write to me soon,
Paul
