Punctuation marks: a full stop [.], a comma [,], a question mark [?], an exclamation mark [!], a colon [:], a semi-colon [;], quotation marks [''], brackets [( )], etc.

In Writing task 38, we typically use:

A comma

— to separate single-root or similar words when listing:

Reading about such endangered animals as tigerspandascheetahs etc. is very important.

— to separate clauses in the sentences if they have different subjects:

My colleagues studied the data in the table thoroughlytogether we highlighted some problems connected with it.

— to separate clauses in the sentences if a subordinate clause comes before the main clause:

When I was doing a project on what wild animals teenagers know most of all aboutI found the results of an opinion poll.

— to separate linking words:

Meanwhilethe percentage of the respondents who claim to know much about a bear is slightly lower than about a wolf.

to provide additional information:
