I want to amuse you and tell you a story about a cat I took from an animal shelter when I was a [ ].When I was a sophomore at our Pedagogical University, I decided not to stay lonely any more. After about half an hour, she came back with no cat in her hands. The woman told me that the cat had changed his mind and that he didn't want a new home. I understood that my worries were [ ]. I had just spent half of my scholarship to get there by taxi! I had to spend the next half of the month eating only potatoes! And she said the cat had changed his mind! Who even cared about the cat's mind? So I told this lady to bring me any cat that would go to her. And she came back with an enormous red 3-year-old cat in her hands. I grabbed my new treasure and hurried home.

Later that night—and it was already nighttime—I looked at my cat, whom I called Vasia like all the cats I had at my [ ] home in the village. I was satisfied and pleased. Vasia was lying on my knees and purring. He was clean and full of cat food. An important thing happened that night. Neither the young man nor the cat was lonely any more.
