It was the fifth day of our cycle tour around Japan. We were looking forward to a pleasant ride through some picturesque areas. Our guides didn't want it to rain on our parade but had to warn us about the upcoming typhoon season. They told us about a threat of being caught off-guard in a dangerous situation, but our group decided to move on. The day started brightly. The sky was clear, and it was going to be boiling hot. However, the weather began to change rapidly. It was clouding over quickly. All of a sudden, [low|come|rainy|heavy|soaking|wet|howling]rain started pouring; our clothes got [low|come|rainy|heavy|soaking|wet|howling]wet in a flash. We wanted to stop and take a break, to make a fire to get warm and to dry our clothes. Nevertheless, the guides didn't let us stop and said we had to reach the destination point, [low|come|rainy|heavy|soaking|wet|howling]rain or shine. The wind gusts were growing stronger, and it was hard to keep up the pace. One of the guides said there was a threat of flooding the area we were cycling through since it was a low land. We got pretty scared and dashed to the higher ground. The wind was [low|come|rainy|heavy|soaking|wet|howling], and the rainfall caused very [low|come|rainy|heavy|soaking|wet|howling]visibility on the road. At moments, we could barely see each other. By the time, we reached the hostel, we were wet through, freezing cold and absolutely exhausted.
