\(\boxed{4}\) Imagine that you are doing a project called "Types of Living" together with your friend. You have found some illustrations, and you want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to tell the friend about the photos:

  • give a brief description of the photos justifying the choice of the photos for the project;
  • say in what way the pictures are different justifying the choice of the photos for the project;
  • mention the advantages and disadvantages (1–2) of two types of living accommodation;
  • express your opinion on the subject of the project—whether you would like to live in a block of flats or in a country house and say why yes or no.

You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

Now read the suggested answer below and choose the correct options to complete the text.

Hi, Alice, Sandy [speaking|talking|wondering]. I'm calling to tell you about the photos I've found for our project on family holidays. I've just [sent|send|sended]them to you via email.

The first photo [shows|writes|seems]a block of flats, while the second picture depicts a country house. [And|Both|But]pictures are suitable for our project, as they show different types of accommodation—a multi-storeyed building with flats and a private house in the country. [Obviously|Continuously|Personally], the pictures are different as they show different locations. The block of flats is situated in the town or in the city, while the house is in the village. Secondly, there are many storeys in the building with no greenery outside in the first picture. [As for|Then|When]the house in the second picture, it stands surrounded by green trees and bushes.

[Though|Naturally|Needlessly], both types of accommodation presented in the pictures have their advantages and disadvantages. For example, living in a block of flats is more comfortable than in a country house because people have all the modern conveniences inside the flat as the country house may not have. [It seems to me|However|When], living in nature without the noise from the streets makes people less stressed and nervous. [Speaking about|While|Meanwhile]living in a block of flats, there always are neighbours who can be the source of irritation and anger as they can behave loudly. [Whereas|However|Then]living in the country house may provide more silence and freedom because the nearest neighbours live only in their own house that is far enough from yours.

As for me, I would [prefer|like|want]living in a country house, because I am fond of the beauty of nature. [Experts say|Although|Besides], the air in the country is fresher, and I can enjoy the scenery from my window every day.

[To start with|Well|Thirdly], that's all I wanted to tell you. Please, look at the photos and [take|answer|give]me your opinion on them. Bye!
