A. Pluckley is a small village in Kent, England. It has a few notable reasons why one should spend some time here. First, anyone who's into the supernatural would be intrigued to know that Pluckley once held the title of the "Most haunted village in the UK", even having this fact recognised by the Guinness Book of Records. The reason? Reportedly, 12 different ghosts have been said to haunt various places throughout town. Another claim to fame is that the popular British TV series "The Darling Buds of May", featuring Catherine Zeta Jones, was filmed in the village in the late 1990s. Many places around town still have photos up of when the filming took place.

B. You may be thinking that the city of Nottingham sounds somewhat familiar and if you know the legend of Robin Hood, you'd recall a villain by the name of Sheriff of Nottingham. The city has ties to the tale, and there is even the Sherwood Forest. Popular tourist stops in the city include the historic Lace Market area, where old red-brick warehouses have been converted into apartments, bars and restaurants. Speaking of pubs, when visiting Nottingham, a trip to "Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem" is essential, unless you want to miss out on saying you visited the oldest pub in England.

С. Chester, close to the Wales border, sits on the River Dee and is sure to win over visitors with its historic charm. It's known as the richest city in Britain in terms of archaeological and architectural treasures. It was one of the finest strategic outposts of the Roman Empire and is currently one of the few walled cities left in Britain. When you come into the city, it's like you're travelling through time. The Chester Rows are the most famous city sight in Chester. The Rows consist of covered walkways on the first floor with shop entrances behind them. They, although unique, are not the only sights worth seeing in Chester: the town hall, Chester Cathedral and Chester Castle are all popular city landmarks that deserve your attention.

D. Norwich is a city located in the heart of England's Norfolk County. If you're looking to get away from the hustle of central London, but not really sold on the idea of staying out in the countryside, Norwich is the perfect place. Though fewer people visit this city, its attractions aren't lacking. From fine to quick dining, unique shopping centres, and beautiful cobblestone streets, Norwich is a great, quiet place to go. With museums, parks, and natural wild park areas, it's also a great destination for families.

E. Shrewsbury is the corner of England to visit if you're curious to see a modern-day reflection of the English Tudor time period. From cathedrals to wildlife centres, Shrewsbury is a bustling and lively town, so if you're in search of a place that's not London but has the same kind of energy, look no further. Shrewsbury is a great place to discover what local culture is like. Catch a movie at the Tudor theatre or visit the town when they host their Folk Festivals and flower shows. It's impossible to be bored in this town.

F. The county of Berwickshire is a British county in Scotland. Its proximity to the sea allows the county to experience humid heavy weather where flowers and gardens thrive. For garden travellers, you won't want to miss the nature and wildlife areas that surround Berwickshire. They're a sight to see, especially under the sunlight. Berwickshire is surrounded by huge rolling green hills that allow for great views of the Scottish coastline.

G. Aberdeen is a little port city located in the northeast of Scotland. Here, the Dee and Don rivers join together and then let out into the North Sea. Something the average traveller doesn't know is that Aberdeen is a melting pot of cultures, as the city is home to a population of people who weren't born and raised in Scotland. This makes for a fantastic mix of food and language. Its nickname is the "Granite City" for all the grey-stone structures that are found in the city and due to the granite business.
