The most fascinating fact about jeans is that their creators, fashion designers, hardly ever wore this item of clothing. Originally, jeans were sewed for poor people. As couturiers were wealthy and affluent citizens, it was a sign of a bad manner to have those clothes in the wardrobe. Jeans were considered casual clothes for ordinary people.

Until the middle of the 20th-century women weren't allowed to wear trousers. Their usual outfit included some dresses and skirts. Only those who were participated in any sports competitions could wear men's garments. Fortunately, after the 1970s jeans became available for women to wear at home and in public. Although, the first collection of women's jeans appeared in the 1930s.

Jeans turned into the most popular item of clothing as it's hard to see if they are filthy or not. Some people managed to wear them for a long time. The material they are produced from resistant to almost any domestic damage. They even look perfect with some new holes, stains or any other imperfections. Everything mentioned above made jeans favourite clothes for workers and housewives.

The first colour which comes to our mind when we think of jeans is blue. Surprisingly. The blue colour was banned in some places because the authorities looked at them as the colour of rebellion. Moreover, blue jeans became popular for the first time outside of America due to American soldiers in World War II who wore jeans when they were out of service.

Denim is one of the strongest textiles that is made of cotton. Denim has its own pattern which is difficult to confuse. Elastic materials such as spandex are often blended into the denim fabric to make your clothes stretchable. The most common colour for denim is blue. Be careful, when you wash jeans in hot water the colour might be changeable a bit.
F
To produce jeans and more new designs companies use a lot of water and chemicals which negatively affects nature. Fortunately, nowadays people are becoming more concerned about the environment. That's why some eco-friendly campaigns are organised all over the world. It's a good idea to recycle jeans bringing them to the shopping centre nearby. According to jeans producers, you can wear them longer before the next washing to reduce the amount of water you spend.
