Allison Ben Hi Ben, how are you? Hi Allison. I'm fine, thank you. What about you? Oh, I'm fine too, thanks. What are you watching on your tablet? It's a report about global issues, and how they are related to global warming. Oh, wow. I watched a report just recently about that. It's so destructive. You believe it? I don't fully believe that all these issues like natural disasters are linked to climate change. Well, yes. I think it is true. Why don't you believe it? Well, where I live there are no changes in the weather at all. I don't see any difference. People say there are rising sea levels and famine caused by floods. And heat waves are causing forest fires. But none of that happens where I live. But it doesn't have to. What do you mean? You live in a nice home. Yet, other people live in poverty. It exists even though you don't experience it. That is right. And because you live in a home that means you are not homeless, which is a big issue in a bigger city. You're right, we don't live in a big city; therefore, you don't see the issues of one. Right, that's true. And we don't have to see other terrible things like when civil war happens. Even though it never happened here, conflicts are a large global issue. I never thought about that before. I think we should care and try to do something about pollution even though the effects are not directly seen where you live. We all can make a difference and care because we can. Thanks Allison, I think I will go and do more research about global issues. Why don't we get together this weekend and watch a documentary on this topic. Sounds like a good idea.
