A)

The earthquake has caused a lot of damage. Many buildings have been destroyed; a lot of people have no place to live; the streets are dirty; the roads are blocked with the fallen trees and electricity poles. But all citizens have got involved in dealing with its negative effects. Today we want to restore the park zone and make it as green as it used to be.

B)

I looked after my grandmother some time ago. She couldn't walk and had bad sight. I bought her a wheelchair, took her for walks, helped her to eat and look after herself. So now I can use this experience to help other people, especially those who don't have children or grandchildren who could take care of them.

C)

Volunteering is a part of my life. You can do a lot to help in different spheres of life. I've tried a lot of things from collecting rubbish to helping elderly people. But now I help in the local kindergarten. It's hard but rewarding at the same time. When I come home, I can't forget those happy and smiling faces of the little boys and girls who are so glad to see me every day.

D)

I've always loved animals. When I was 10, I found a neglected cat on the street. I took it home and took care of it. Then I posted an advertisement and found a good foster home for it. Since then I've been helping abandoned and neglected animals. The place where I work now is called A Happy Paw.

E)

Our neighbourhood hasn't always been so neat and tidy. One year ago the streets were dirty, and the rubbish bins were always full. My mother and I decided to organise a group of volunteers who wanted to make our area cleaner. A lot of neighbours supported us, and now we have the cleanest area in the city.
