There are evident criteria which we take into consideration while looking for a perfect job. They can be decent working hours, a competitive salary level, office location, career prospects, bonuses, etc. However, there are points which may seem not so essential, but still necessary to keep in mind. They are not usually described in job advertisements and can come up when you start working. So, here are some cases I faced on my career path.
To start with, learning the[ahead|ends|in|on|ropes|sack|under|work]can be very important. If you don't get appropriate training, your work may not be [ahead|ends|in|on|ropes|sack|under|work]point. In this case, you might be given the[ahead|ends|in|on|ropes|sack|under|work]for poor performance.
Another point is the new director. Having a slave driver boss or the one who obliges the employees to burn the candle at both[ahead|ends|in|on|ropes|sack|under|work]is not a pleasant thing. A good boss can light a fire[ahead|ends|in|on|ropes|sack|under|work]his subordinates with the help of praising or different bonuses. Unfortunately, it's not so easy to find such a good chief.
One more problem can occur with new colleagues. In the pursuit of a promotion and career prospects, everyone will try to move up in the world and be[ahead|ends|in|on|ropes|sack|under|work]of the curve. So, you'll need to work harder in order not to fall behind.
Taking everything into account, try to figure out as much as possible before applying for a job.
