We use Zero Conditional to talk about general truths and scientific facts. Present simple is used in both clauses.

If + noun + Present Simple, noun + Present Simple

Example:

If the sun shines, the grass grows.

We use First Conditional to talk about what will happen in the future under certain conditions.

If + noun + Present Simple, noun + Future Simple

Example:

If the lesson continues, we will have a test.
