Mindy was a scientist. She studied animals in their wild. In August she travelled to Africa with her group. She was excited. They had to make a film about blue lizards. There was one little problem, they were active only at night, so it wasn't easy to find them.
One night Mindy woke up because there was something under her tent. The campfire was still burning, so she could clearly see it was the lizard they were looking for. She turned on the night mode on her camera and followed it.
It was a nice shooting, she was really happy she had a chance to do it herself. But, when she turned off her camera and turned on her torch, she realised she couldn't see her camp. It was dark and the campfire stopped burning. She didn't know what to do, so she started shouting for help. Nobody answered. It was dangerous to stay outside, but she was all alone. So she started wandering around in search of her group. After several unsuccessful hours, she felt tired and fell asleep in the sand.
When the morning came, Mindy felt something on her face. She opened her eyes and saw a big black jaguar. She was scared and screamed loudly, but the cat didn't attack her. It wasn't hungry, it just wanted to play. Mindy was very lucky to stay alive and turn back home safe and sound.
