While living in the village, I listened to music on my grandfather's cassette player. I also watched cartoons, films and kid's shows on our old TV. Sometimes, my father read the news or interesting stories from the newspapers. Now I'm even more involved in all this. I have a mobile phone, a tablet, a Smart TV and high-speed Internet, of course. All these things have now become an integral part of my life. I can get in touch with my relatives and friends from any place to share the news. I can quickly find the information I need with just a few clicks of the mouse. There is a wide choice of films, programmes and shows to watch on TV. I can download and listen to music I like. Preparation for my university classes has also become faster and easier. But at the same time, I've realised that the media takes a lot of time for nothing. I spend a lot of time on social networks and virtual communication instead of face-to-face interaction. I stay at home instead of meeting friends or going for a walk. I download and store the information that's not really necessary. And I start to panic when there's no Internet access at home. What about you? Does the media play an important part in your life?
