What can you do right now to improve the ecology of your city?

KateI am a member of the ecological organisation, which is engaged in environmental education. Our aim is to raise awareness of the ecological problems in our world. We also inform people how they can help to save nature doing simple things like turning off the taps and electricity when leaving home. PeterI think that recycling is a thing that everyone should do. It's the easiest thing people can do to conserve nature. Separating glass bottles and cans, paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, aluminum cans from the total mass of household garbage helps reduce the pollution. It also protects natural habitats for the future and helps conserve important raw materials. SamIn our modern world we have a possibility to buy almost anything. Still, we don't always need and use all the things we purchase. As a result, a lot of goods are wasted and thrown away, so there's a necessity to reduce consumption of unnecessary products. How can we do this? When buying a thing always ask yourself whether you really need it or not. And if you already have a lot of unused goods, you can take them to second hand shops or sell them on a boot market.
