Karate
Karate is a martial art that originated in Okinawa, Japan. People of Okinawa couldn't carry weapons for a long time and developed an effective form of combat and self-defence. There is no weapon in karate except the body. The name of this martial arts came from the Japanese words "kara" meaning "empty" and "te" meaning "hand".
Karate is not only a way of physical combat but also a philosophy and a lifestyle. The main idea is to concentrate the body power and manage the energy during defensive and counter-attacking body movements.
