Read the text about a natural disaster and find a word or word combination for each definition in it. Write all the nouns in singular; write all the verbs in infinitive (without to).

As a result of the earthquake in Japan, more than 100 people have been injured and even more left homeless. The disaster destroyed about 2,000 houses, left millions of houses without power, and a smaller number waterless.

Rescue teams worked hard to find survivors. But there are still a lot of people missing. They might be buried under the buildings that collapsed like houses of cards.

The earthquake caused several avalanches in the mountain areas too.

No tsunami was generated, but some local people are still worried about it. Some of them evacuate from coastal cities. "Even if everyone says not to worry about a tsunami, I don’t believe it,” a 46-year-old man told the journalists. "I’ve already experienced it in the past, that’s why I’m moving from my house now."
