Dear Lilya,
How are things? I just thought to drop you a line.
I'm sorry [to|for|on]not writing for so long—my family has been preparing all the stuff for moving [in|onto|into]a new house in Bristol. I got your email, which made me really happy as we haven't talked to each other [much|many|little]recently.
You were telling me about your [malls|chemist's|supermarkets]in Russia. And you were also asking me about ours. Well, yesterday I was [buying|shopping|bargaining]for clothes with my sister. Frankly speaking, I really hate buying clothes! And [shoe shops|newsagent's|jewellery shops]are the worst places ever for me. My sister loves visiting them on Black Fridays when there are [long|reduced|high]prices. It takes her about two or three hours to try on all the shoes. But the most terrible thing is trade fairs from the Eastern countries. When my sister sees those open-air stalls, she gets lost for about four hours! She loves [shopping|stealing|bargaining]and says that nothing will replace that unique atmosphere of an Eastern fair. Eastern sellers respect the person who disagrees with the starting price.
I'm sorry for so [many|much|no]emotions today. But you are one of my closest pen friends. I just wanted to complain. I'm not a [curious|nosy|reusable]shopper, you know. And I can't understand you girls being so fond of buying different clothes and shoes, let alone jewellery.
Anyway, I got to go now. Write back soon telling me how you spent your holidays.
Take care,
Joe
