Max: Morning, Kate! How are you doing?
Kate: Hi, Max! I'm great, thanks. I've just returned from a two-week holiday, so I feel refreshed and relaxed. What about you?
Max: Glad to hear that! I'm not that good, I feel a little bit stressed. The point is, I saw a terrible car accident yesterday and had to call an emergency service.
Kate: Oh no! How did it happen?
Max: The day started as usual. I was on my way to the office walking down the street when suddenly I heard a terrible screech. I looked at the road and saw how three cars crashed at each other at the crossroads!
Kate: That sounds terrible! Was anyone injured?
Max: Yes! I ran to one of the cars and saw a driver. He was unconscious and he had deep cuts on his forehead and arm. They were bleeding.
Kate: Max, that's a nightmare! I can't believe it! If I were you, I guess, I'd lose my mind. I'm terribly afraid of blood.
Max: Are you really?
Kate: Yes, unfortunately that's true! And what about the other drivers?
Max: Oh, they weren't hurt that much, just got several bruises.
Kate: This is good news! What happened next?
Max: Well, I was the only witness around, so I had to call the emergency service 112. The operator put me through to the ambulance. I explained briefly what had happened and gave them the address. It was at the crossroads of Black Avenue and Lindford Street.
Kate: Please, tell me that the ambulance came quickly! Did it?
Max: Yes, it arrived within five minutes! Besides, one of the drivers tried to help the unconscious one using some medicine from his first aid kit. Later, the paramedics told it was the right decision.
Kate: Thanks god! I can't imagine how stressed you were!
Max: I was quite anxious. Although, I tried to be focused and control my emotions.
