Jane: Nope, I wouldn't say so! Actually, I'd rather say it was quite bad, because in the video I [ ] my surfing board twice ... On the other hand, it showed how big my desire to learn was.
Mike: I guess this is what really [ ]. If a person really wants to master something, they will do anything that's needed and succeed.
Jane: Totally agree. I expressed this thought in my letter. Probably that's the reason they chose me.

Jane: I hope so! Thank you for believing in me.

Jane: Yeah, you're right. By the way, how is your preparation going? I heard you're going [ ] in the swimming competition on Friday.
Mike: Did you mean the one on Saturday?
Jane: Oh, of course. Sorry, I mixed it all up. How is your preparation for the competition on Saturday?
