A hobby is a great way to have fun. Some people have usual hobbies, for example, reading or riding bikes. Other people have unusual hobbies. Let's learn more about some of them.
Many Finn girls like riding horses after school. Have all Finn girls got horses? Of course, no. They don't ride real horses—they ride hobby horses! Finn girls can buy a hobby horse in a shop or make it at home with a stick and fabric. They run and jump with their hobby horses. Some girls take part in big riding competitions.
Every year on a Pancake Day, people can take part in a funny competition in England. It's a competition between two teams. Each team has got a pan and a pancake in it. One person from each team takes a pan and runs. They run and flip the pancake at the same time. Then they return to their team and give the pans to the next players. The first team to finish the race wins.
Some people think that playing cards is boring. So, they don't play cards—they build with cards! One man is famous for his card houses and towers. Some of his towers are very tall—more than 8 meters!
