People say that what is [rubbish|treasure|gold] for you can be a treasure for somebody else. My granny thought that everything we have can get a second life. For example she taught me how to make [plates|planters|chairs] from old jars and cans. She loved flowers and we got a lot of plants in our country house. So my grandmothers made very creative things from everything we hadn't used any more. She loved nature and always told us that we should protect it.

We were small children but we knew how to recycle glass, paper or [aluminium|water|peeling]. We had recycle bins for everything, even for fruit and vegetable [peelings|juice|meals]. My grandpa used it to compost the garden. He was a genius. Also he was jack-of-all-trades. He could [break|repair|buy] everything he needs. Once our fridge was broken. He repaired it in one day, all alone. I think my grandparents are my role models.

I'm a father now. My grandma and grandpa are dead. I remembered them and missed them very much. Every time I give my son his [small|packed|school] lunch for school, I tell him not to buy any plastic things in the canteen. I try to teach him all my grandparents taught me. Our Planet is [unique|old|standart] and the environment is very important. We should protect it and save it from others who damage it every single day. People are [responsible|free|guilty] for every disaster and cataclysm we are facing today. If we continue to destroy the earth, one day it will destroy us.
