Dreams Come True
I'm not a rich guy from a small city in Asia. My name is Nick and now I'm studying in Germany. That was the dream of my life. My dad worked hard and we had only necessary things when I was at school. There were a lot of poor people in my hometown, and life was difficult. My parents always told me to study hard. My father wasn't sure that we would have enough money for my education. They even couldn't give me [pocket|loan|credit] money. When I was 13, I started to work. I delivered food by my bike and got $5 every week. It was enough to buy some books about History and Law.
I finished school and entered the university. We have no money to pay but I got the highest score for exams and won the scholarship. I was happy. My parents were very proud of me. I moved to the big city and started my education. I was living on my student [money|loan|credit] but it wasn't enough. I started to work in the university library in the evenings. There I could read. I read a lot: professional literature, research documents, historical books. My [time|life|schedule] was busy: in the morning I did my [household|cooking|studying] chores such as tidying the room and washing dishes, in the afternoon I went to the university and in the evening I worked. Before leaving the hometown I promised to my dad that I would never [lend|borrow|earn] any money from anybody. I kept my promise. After two years of education and working I had enough money to buy a new laptop for studying. I needed it to prepare my own research work about laws in Nazi Germany. The result was I received a Student Grant and became a participant in the Exchange Program. And here I am... All dreams come true.
I appreciate everything my parents have done for me. I have a great [opportunity|family|education] and I have a [success|chance|destiny] to become a professional lawyer. I hope once I will protect people who became victims of unfair circumstances.
