Different teens faced many problems. Let's read their stories to know what types of crime exist and why we should be careful. Our first hero is Amanda. She studied in a small city and was very interested in social media. When she was a student she got a letter out of the blue, saying that she'd won a prize on Instagram. She was happy because she hadn't won anything before. She thought that the page where she saw the draw was true, so Amanda contacted the people who wrote to her. They asked her to send them a fee to get her winnings. She fell for it and sent them the money. As you can understand, dear reader, there were no prizes at all. It was the first time she faced crime on the Internet. There are many fraudsters who are trying to trick gullible people such as Amanda to send them money. Be very careful and don't get fooled by that. Our next hero is Caleb. Burglars broke into some houses in his street some weeks ago. It was at night when his dad got his first call about a robbery. Caleb's dad is a policeman and it was the night of his watch. The family was sleeping upstairs when burglars broke into their house and took the money, jewellery and expensive equipment. The father of the family heard some noise and called the police. While they were checking what was taken another house was robbed. It was a difficult night but the police caught burglars red-handed. After this incident, many families installed alarms.

When Simona was a student she lived in a big city in the centre of the USA. The crime rate was high there, but she lived in a safe area. Her friend's father was a lawyer and he knew well how dangerous it could be for a girl on the street. Once she was mugged on her way home. It was late evening and she was listening to music on my earphones. The attacker came out of nowhere and threatened her with a gun. She was shocked and very afraid. Fortunately, a patrol car passed by and he was detained, and the gun turned out to be a fake. It was a good lesson for her. And for us. It's very important to be careful, especially at night, when it's dark and dangerous.

As you can see, dear reader, all these examples show us that we can be a victim of crime in any age or place. Please, look around you and be careful. Call the police, if you feel any danger.
