People like to know what others think or say, especially if they are famous. You can even see phrases said by well-known people on mugs, T-shirts and other objects. Unfortunately, sometimes words of people can be used against them. It usually happens when statements are quoted in another context. In this case the phrase often loses its initial meaning and starts meaning something else or even the opposite.

How can this happen? Let's look at the phrase "Regardless energy, rush and special effects, the public paid too much for the tickets". Imagine someone who says it about a movie or a play. If we quote just a part of the phrase, we can form a great opinion about the event! For example, in a review about this movie, you can write simply: "Energy, rush and special effects!" It will seem to people who read it that they've missed something great.

A phrase said by one person and changed or cut by another person changes its meaning and can even influence the reputation of its author. As it's really difficult to prove that you haven't said something or haven't meant certain things.

Many winged phrases also are taken from the context and we don't know their actual meaning. For example, "Time for business, an hour for entertainment". We understand it as we should work hard and spend just a little time on pleasant things and rest. Originally, in old Russian language hour and time were synonyms. This phrase just meant that there was a time for work and there was a time for rest, so there was a time for everything.

So be careful, when you read a quote: it's always better to check its origin. Especially if you want to share that quote further.
