He was born into one of the oldest and most politically prominent families in the U.S. Many consider it the closest thing to “American Royalty”. He was in office for only two years from 1961 until his death in 1963.
Barack Obama was the 44th president of the United States. He was the First African American to be elected as president of the U.S. Obama was in office from 2009 until 2017. During his first two years as president, Obama led many reforms. The most famous is the Affordable Care Act, known as "Obamacare", a federal law to improve access to health insurance for the US citizens.
Franklin D. Roosevelt served as the 32nd president of the United States. He was in office from 1933 until his death in 1945 and therefore became a central figure in some of the biggest world events of the 20th century, such as the Great Depression and World War II. He started a program to combat the Depression which is categorized as “relief, recovery and reform” and under his watch the economy slowly recovered.
Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th president of the United States. He served in the beginning of the 20th century and became one of the leaders of the Progressive Era. He was elected at the age of 42 and was the youngest ever president of the U.S. He worked to improve the quality of life of the average American.
George Washington was the first president of the United States. He is most known for his role in the American Revolution. He is often referred to as “Father of His Country” for his leadership in the Revolutionary War and the formation of the new nation. After 8 years in office he retired to his home in Mount Vernon.
