The Solar System includes not only the Sun and 8 major planets. A huge number of different smaller objects also revolve in different orbits around the Sun. They all also deserve their study.
Among the small bodies are:
- "dwarf planets" (this term was introduced after Pluto stop being considered as a planet);
- asteroids, or "minor planets";
- comets;
- meteorite bodies, or meteorites (just small stones);
- dust and gas.
- Large celestial bodies called [galaxies|asteroids|planets] revolve around the star in their orbit.
- Usually [meteorites|comets|planets] spread their long tails of evaporating gases for millions of kilometers as they approach the Sun.
- There are [stars|galaxies|asteroids] in the Universe, whose radii exceed the solar one by more than 1000 times.
- Clusters of stars, planets, small objects, gas and dust make up [Universe|galaxy|asteroid].
- The [galaxies|comets|asteroids] belt rotates in its orbit between Mars and Jupiter.
- [Asteroids|Comets|Meteorites] — these are large objects that do not have time to completely burn up in the atmosphere and fall to the surface of the Earth.
