Stress is a biological reaction to potential danger. During ancient times stressful situations helped cavemen to fight for their lives. When we are stressed, special chemicals called stress hormones run through our bodies, giving us more oxygen and power to survive in a difficult situation. These natural chemicals keep us alert when we need to escape the danger, but when we're simply sitting, these stress hormones collect in the body and affect our general well-being. Stress hormones can suppress the immune system, and we are more likely to be influenced by infection or some other disease. Unfortunately, we can't avoid stressful situations. But we can try to change our reactions, so that we're not so stressed in the end. The greatest challenge for all people here is to maintain stress and use their body language to hide it.
