B: That's a very interesting issue. With the development of the Internet of things, there is a tendency not only to build 'smart houses' but also to build 'smart cities'...
A: Could you give a detailed definition of a 'smart city'?
B: In simple words, it is a complex system of devices, machines and objects which collects and analyzes the data from all framework devices and citizens' activity to control and regulate the inner processes.
A: And what do you mean under the 'inner processes'?
B: I mean the city processes which can be regulated by machines without human control, such as water supply and heating, waste management, streetlight and traffic light systems, emergency services and transportation system.
A: Wow! That's amazing! What about transport? Are big changes awaiting us in this sphere?
B: Of course! There are numerous researches in the field of air space exploration. We already have spaceships, which can fly in space. I think, cars flying in the sky will be the next great breakthrough in the transport system. In addition, development of vacuum-tube trains is also moving forward.
A: And the last question. What about the ecology? Nowadays, the cities are full of smog and dust. Will we be able to make the situation better?
B: Definitely, yes. But only due to the mutual work of the government and citizens. Use of electric cars and alternative energy sources, recycling, water and electricity saving can make our cities 'greener'.
