A Busy Day

Our part of town is situated in the city centre. We have everything nearby. One day everything was absolutely unusual.

My granny got ill. My mum told me to go to the [ ] and buy medicine for her. It was November, cold and windy. I put on my jacket, a cap and warm pants and went to buy the medicine.

When I got back from the [ ], I took off my warm clothes and gave the medicine to my granny. Then my mum asked me to go to the [ ] and buy a box of sweets for my aunt who had a birthday. I went there and to the [ ] as well because I wanted to cheer my granny up with a tasty pie.

When I got back, my mum asked me to go to the [ ] and buy some vegetables for soup. I put on all the warm clothes for the third time and went out.

Fortunately, I quickly bought the vegetables and came home. My dad got back from work. He was very tired and asked me to go to the [ ] and pay his bills. I sighed and went out for the fourth time.

When I got back, my mum said, "Keep your jacket on, please. Go to the kindergarten and bring your sister home. But on your way back, go to the [ ] and buy a newspaper for your dad."

Not only was it the newsagent's my sister and I had to visit, but my mum also asked me to buy her a model plane, so we went to the [ ]. Then we bought some dog food for our pug in the [ ].

When I finally was home, my mum said, "Maybe we all go to the [ ]? I had an important call from the [ ] and burnt the soup. Now we don't have any dinner."
