Listen to the audio and put the verbs in the past form

If a verb ends in a consonant + "y", change the "y" to an "i" and add "-ed":

• cry — cried,
• try — tried.

If a verb of one syllable ends in a consonant + vowel + consonant, double the final consonant and add "-ed":

• stop — stopped,
• chat — chatted.
