Choose the correct past form of the verbs

We use the Past Simple to say what happened in the past:

Jack walkedto the garden.

We have signal words to understand that the action was in the past: yesterday, last month, last week, last year, last night, two/three/four days ago, etc.

They [ ] the party last night.
