Different nationalities have different food preferences. Let's look at some countries and the food people eat there.
In Italy, people eat a lot of pasta and pizza. They also like risotto (rice with vegetables or/and meat) and ravioli (square packets of pasta with meat or cheese which you need to boil) with their favourite pesto sauce.
Japanese people, who live near the sea, are fond of seafood. Rice is also very popular there. Sushi is a good example of a meal which has both seafood and rice.
In France, they have different kinds of cheese and bread (like croissants and baguettes). French people also like vegetable dishes, for example, ratatouille or onion soup.
German people are fond of meat. Schnitzel (a fried slice of meat of a young cow) is a very popular dish. They also like eating different kinds of sausages with mustard (a kind of spicy sauce). Apple strudel (a kind of cake) is a favourite dessert of many Germans.
