Hi everyone!

My name is Erica and I'm from Ireland. But I'm not in Ireland now, I'm in Africa. I'm working with animals here and my life is very different from my life in Ireland!

Here, in Africa, I usually work in the evening and at night, so I sleep during the day. I get up at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Then I take a shower and have breakfast.

At 6 o'clock in the evening I start to work with my friend Jess. We go to the forest and look for birds. We don't talk so the birds can't hear us. Until 10 o'clock in the evening we look for birds and take notes about them. Then we have sandwiches for lunch and continue our work.

We finish at about 4 o'clock in the morning. After that I say goodbye to Jess and go home. Sometimes I don't have dinner. I put all the information I get during the day in my computer. Then I take a shower and go to bed at 6 or 7 o'clock in the morning. I'm always very tired after work.

My job is really hard and unusual, but I like it!
