Once upon a time Mr Coyote [ ] through the woods. It was getting darker and darker. He was tired and wanted to find a safe place to rest. Suddenly he saw a hole under the tree, but it was too small to get in.

Mr Coyote begged the tree, "Please make the hole bigger so I can stay here for the night." The tree [ ] up the hole, and Mr Coyote got in.

In the morning Mr Coyote did not remember what he [ ] before. He demanded, "Let me out, Tree," but nothing happened.

Mr Tree was furious with Mr Coyote for [ ] "please". Mr Coyote was shouting and hitting the tree, but it didn't move.

Mr Coyote thought of the [ ] way to escape. He decided to take off all parts of the body one at a time and put them through the small hole. All worked fine. He then put himself back together and became a whole coyote again. But he could not find his eyes and put rose petals in the place of his eyes.

Along came Mr Snail. He asked Mr Coyote, "Why do you have rose petals in your eyes?" Mr Coyote said, "Because they are [ ] than my former blue eyes.

Try them if you want and I [ ] your brown eyes."

Mr Snail did as he [ ]. To this day Mr Snail is crawling with his head down looking for his eyes, and all coyotes have brown eyes.
