Henry VIII was passionately interested in Anne Boleyn. Henry VIII decided to annul his marriage to Catherine of Aragon to marry Anne Boleyn. Henry's VIII divorce went against everything that Cardinal Wolsey believed in. Anne Boleyn believed that Wolsey was purposely delaying the legal proceedings and Cardinal deserved to lose his head. She shared her thoughts with Henry VIII. Wolsey wanted to win back favour by presenting Henry VIII with Hampton Court, the magnificent Thames-side palace that he built.
