Present Simple vs Continuous
Настоящее простое время (Present Simple) употребляется, когда речь идёт:

• о постоянных действиях в настоящем:

  She goes to school;

• повседневных действиях:

  Mary drinks tea in the morning;

• повторяющихся действиях в настоящем:

  They play football every Sunday.

Образование

Утверждение: I/you/we/they + глагол в первой форме: Wegoto school every day.

He/she/it + глагол c окончанием -s: Shelivesin New York.

Отрицание: I/you/we/they + do not (don't) + глагол в первой форме: Idon't likeapples.

He/she/it + does not (doesn't) + глагол в первой форме: Hedoesn't workhere.

Вопрос: Do + I/you/we/they + глагол в первой форме: Doyougoto school every day?

Does + he/she/it + глагол в первой форме: Doeshehavea pet?

Present Continuous, или настоящее длительное время, используется для выражения:

• действия, происходящего в данный момент, сейчас (now);
• запланированного действия в ближайшем будущем;
• раздражения по поводу привычки, которая повторяется чаще чем следует.

Формула образования: am/is/are + глагол с -ing.

I amwatchingTVnow.

She islisteningto music at the moment.

They aredrinkingcoffee in the garden now.

В отрицательных предложениях нужно добавить частицу not после вспомогательного глагола am/is/are.

Iam not readinga book now.

Heis not (isn't) speaking on the phone at the moment.

Weare not (aren't) drinkingcoffee in the garden now.

В вопросительных предложениях с утвердительным или отрицательным ответом на первое место выносится вспомогательный глагол am/is/are.

They are drinkingtea now. → Are they drinkingtea now?

В вопросах с распространённым ответом на первом месте стоит вопросительное слово, а за ним — вспомогательный глагол am/is/are.

Theyare listening to musicnow. → What arethey listening to now?
